The Mosaic Company is injecting a major chunk of money into its K3 potash mine in Esterhazy.
Over the next eight years, the company will invest $1.7 billion in the operation to help ramp up production.
“Prices are starting to soften a little bit. That means our investment will go further. It means people are available to work on projects where it was difficult to get people before,” said Walt Precourt, Mosaic’s senior vice-president of potash.
